The motive is unknown as she isn't talking and he's in critical condition after coming out of surgery.

The couple was in the middle of a divorce, which he had filed for, citing irreconcilable differences.

What stood out for me was that none of the neighbors ever heard this couple fighting, even though they were going through a divorce. I have to think, had they expressed their pent up rage at each other verbally, maybe this woman wouldn't have exploded with something as insane as hacking off her husband's dick, and throwing it into the garbage disposal!

Who wants to be her next boyfriend / husband than ?

I'm wondering if autistics are far less likely to commit horrible pointless crimes than NTs because we think more logically and realise that there's nothing to gain. And that walking out of a relationship is a better response than stabbing someone.

And this is -

politics? If so why?

philosophy? If so why?

religion? if so why?

My impulse would be Not at this Address - Return to Sender.

There has to be a more appropriate venue.

On the contrary, I think that we are just as likely to commit acts of violence. There is nothing inherently more logical or rational in our cognition. We certainly approach interpersonal relationships differently than NTs, but that does not make us immune to emotional trauma, or irrational reaction to it.

It's strange that she didn't do it in a fit of rage but planned it. creeps me out

How sure are you that, that woman is a NT? I am sure she not right in the head.

I agree, I think quite a few of us have this blindspot where we like to think that all the evils of the world can be laid at the feet of NTs and their tempestuous emotions... Sort of like the AS superiority phase that seems to afflict people when they discover that they're autistic, though most of us seem to grow out of that.

I was assuming it was politics. I guess in my mind "news" and "politics" fall in the same category because we are reading about both in the newspapers. But now that you pointed it out I see why it is not "politics": neither the husband nor the wife are in the government, although it might still be related to poitics if I were discussing exactly how many years the wife got in prison and why. I agree though that "News and current events" is more appropriate section, which is why it was moved there. But I was unaware that such section existed, UNTIL this post was moved.

Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of politically zealous people who'd like to unman members of opposing parties.

This has already happened. In a book we have in my house. There's a page full of strange and gross things people have done, including a woman who accidentally cut her face off with a lawnmower but managed to have it reattached.

What does it mean to "cut a face off" anyway? If you say "cut a nose off" or "cut an ear off", that makes sense. But "cut a face off"? That is confusing. Cheeks are also part of the face. Were they also cut off? If so, how about teeth? If you cut through both left and right cheek you would cut off teeth too, unless you are cutting along a curvy line.
