La Nina likely to continue into Winter 2011

More drought and extreme temperatures for the southern US.

By now most affected by this year"s brutal La Nina would like to see it erode but looks like it will persist well into next year. Does this mean another year of extreme heat and drought for some parts of the US? I hope not.

Last winter we experienced a lot of storms on the southern jet stream followed by drought this spring and summer. Places in the south experienced ef4 and ef5 tornadoes in spring. The Rockies had greater than average snowfall. Flooding has been an issue for the Mississippi River. La Nina causes extreme weather if it is intense enough. I am ready for La Nina to end.

Expect snowfall and freezing temps in Florida like last winter.

d@mn I am in Georgia now and snow is bad here cause we have no ability to remove it. Luckily though, it melts after a day or 3.
