It is understandable, if not entirely justifiable, that New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg has told the clergy to stay away from the tenth anniversary commemoration of the events of September 11, 2001. After all, Bloomie, despite his current political status (“independent”) and former affiliation with the Republican party, is as far left on the spectrum as you can get. He is simply following the liberal playbook, which states that religious figures at solemn events are strictly off-limits—unless they are Muslim.
What I can’t begin to understand is where Bloomberg gets off telling firefighters, policemen, and other "first responders" that due to “space constraints,” this special memorial ceremony will be limited to family members only (plus, of course, politicians).

If a moderator wishes to move this into the other topic about evangelicals not being allowed, fine, however I think this is a better example of how out of touch Bloomberg is.
