The situation in Egypt
Islamists won the election in 2012, a year after military leader Al-Sisi with his army took the power.
Al-Sisi is going really hard agains the islamists, his army are killing protesters and put many in jails, and they have also in the court give many death-sentence to muslims brotherhood followers.
Was is the right thing to take the power? Are Al-Sisi to brutal against the islamist?
Personally, it feels like this situation will not hold and soon it will be like in Libiya and Syria.
The Freedom and Justice Party( Muslim Brotherhood) won the majority in the 2012 election because the majority split their vote on liberal parties.
It's the Westminster style of election.
Once they won, they made sure the majority of those drafting the new constitution were conservative muslims.
The constitution they ram rodded through convention bypassing the everyone else, turned Egypt into religious state by making Islam the official religion and forcing Islamic values as state law.
They also tried to dissolve the judiciary, who was blocking the religious laws and constitutional articles.
They also tried to shut down all media outlets, schools, businesses, house of worship, etc... that opposed the Muslim Brotherhoods agenda
The Muslim Brotherhood tried to get rid of all government workers who refused to conform to their agenda and beliefs.
Lastly the Muslim Brotherhood ordered it's own paramilitary groups to violently disband all political opposition to their rule.
The majority of the public opposed this new government demanding the military intervene and rid the country of the Muslim brotherhood.
The military overthrew the government with majority support and convened a secular council to fix the new constitution to make it secular and fair.
After Ramadan, Egypt will finally hold the parliamentary elections, which were delayed until the election law was rewritten as ordered by Egypt's Supreme Court, who claimed the existing law discriminated against minorities and women.
Egypt it quite stable, it's just the Muslim Brotherhood and it's allies that are waging a campaign against Egypt to punish the majority who opposed them.

Something.... Weird... Something...
It was the death of political Islam.
An entrenched dictator gets voted out, a Religious Charity gets voted in, then tries to abolish government, and replace it with religion.
That is crazy, it is what a third of Republicans want to do in Washington.
Food stamps only for people who attend approved churches.
I supported the Muslim Brotherhood, I know some local Egyptians. They had done a lot of charity and social work, I expected a more just country, and a move forward. Education was the main issue.
Tunisia is small, but has the best medical in North Africa, Europeans go there for treatment, they educate a lot of medical people from the locals that then go to work in Europe and other places. There is a world wide shortage of nurses.
Algeria still speaks French, and is doing back office work, call centers, manufacturing, for Europe. In 1300 they had the best Universities where people came from all of Islam, and from Europe.
Egypt has missed out on several generations of progress, but with the largest population, they have a potential to do much better.
The Muslim Brotherhood had ISIS ambitions, lets go back to 700, and ride donkeys.
They had it, all they had to do was form an inclusive government, like Saddam, sprinkle some prayers over the top, and they would have been in for the long term. As Allah Wills, could be the best of government, whatever happen, your covered.
Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, they screwed up so bad they made Kings in Arabia look good.
I was also a supporter of the Caliphate, pointing out that with a common language, Arabic, a Common Market, Currency, and a Federation Government, like Europe has, plus one billion Muslims, an Islamic State would be a world economic power.
Later someone hijacked my Islamic State Plan. Mine did not have donkeys and beheadings.
The old Ottoman Turks were progressive after the west broke up their empire. They took to western clothes and ways. Turkish girls are hot! The same in Iran, until the Christian west overthrew their elected government, and gave them a Shah and donkeys. Even after they fell back on their history and religion, the girls of Iran wore western clothes, and went to the university.
We could have supported this, instead we funded and trained ISIS.
In Egypt the army took over, said we are Egyptian first, the army second, this did not work, go home.
Then they set up an inclusive government that is drafting a Constitution.
The last straw, why the army stepped in, The Muslim Brotherhood wanted to send troops to fight Assad, and establish an Islamic State. They wanted to raise an army that was not the Egyptian Army.
This would be declaring war on Iran, and Russia, and a good part of Lebanon. Russia supplies half of Egypt's wheat.
The ambitions of the Islamic World, are good education, jobs, medical and dental, and girls in tight jeans going to the university.
