Official ATF documents as well as sources in Arizona and Washington D.C. confirm that in at least two instances in 2010, an agent of the United States government purchased Kalashnikov-pattern semi-automatic pistols from licensed federal firearms dealers with taxpayer money and delivered those weapons directly into the hands of cartel smugglers.

In a letter dated June 1, 2010, then Phoenix ATF Group VII supervisor David Voth instructed a Federal Firearms Licensee in Arizona as follows:

That goes beyond just f*king up to intentional.

So the question remains as to why??

I have heard that that the Justice dept actually has a hand in drug trade for a long time because prisions are big buisness. It keeps the certain populations from voting.

Supposedly they took one cartel, propped them up, gave its leader material support and let their drugs flow across the boarder in exchange for his giving as much information as possible regarding the other cartels. I know we did this kind of thing and immunized FBI informants when we were dealing with La Cosa Nostra but... it doesn't fit a situation with a neighbor, particularly when we're trying to help their administration.

My theory is they wanted to create a crisis to crack down on gun owners...

Turns out the feds kept giving Solyndra money after they knew that the company had effectively defaulted as well.

--no one seems to care--
---and that is the problem--

i can speculate as to why they needed to get weapons into a certain cartel, but people keep telling me i'm a conspiracy theorist. :?
