Well it seems that Vladimir Putin has stuffed the polls. Even Hill Dog has called him out on it. Now there is massive rioting in Moscow, with thousands of arrests.

I know it happens in the US, but what if all rioters were arrested on site? Like OWS?

I know Gorby fears now for the future of Russian democracy.

Russia is on the rise again. Get ready for the Eurasian Union in a few years. Many former Soviet Republics are getting back together

No - there isn't rioting, massive or otherwise - but there are protest rallies. Not the same thing at all.

The US wants the Russians to take a page out of the US's book on how to handle protesters:

Irony Alert: U.S. Calls on Russia to Respect Peaceful Protests

Quote:
WASHINGTON — The United States called Friday on both Russian authorities and protesters to remain peaceful as opponents of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin prepared major weekend demonstrations against his rule.

Are Russia protesters being man-handled or is it just a call to keep it civil?

The irony is killing me. Where was hillary when US veterans were getting cold-cocked upside the head with tear gas cans for peaceful protest and students were getting showered in tear gas when they were just in the way?

Aha! You see the violence inherent in the system.

Well, in all fairness, Hilary's position deals with foreign, not domestic, matters.
But trust me, I otherwise agree with you.

Which did indeed happen in the US the very day they came out in force - tanks, teargas, firehoses, canines; looks like we're trying to let China know that we're ready for their political philosophy.

Interestingly, bloggers on social networks are motivating people into action. Two were mention in the russian case. One was mentionned in China, where a lawyer who tried to defend women's rights (by his own country's laws btw) got sent to prison for 4 years and is now under surveillance in his house, he's blind btw. Even Obama cited him in the human rights deficit of China. <.<
