A SHOPPING center Santa asks two young brothers if they've had their medication and want a jail cell for Christmas.

Some Australians are like cavemen when it comes to dealing with disabled kids.

That's disgusting that the man had the audacity to ask that question to an autistic 6 year old boy.

No wonder, when I was at school there was a universal habit of making disparaging comments or outright ridicule of disabled kids in general. No amount of education of the general public will change their personal opinions and preferences.

This is why parents have to be vigilant in protecting their kids. I disagree with this mother choosing to advertise her children's autism. It only draws attention to haters.

I'm glad the man got fired. He had no right to say what he said. The boys cannot help being the way they are. On the other hand, I would have to agree with cyberdad. If the mother hadn't been advertising her children's autism in the first place, then maybe the incident would not have occured. I understand that she was hoping that letting people know her children have autism would promote awareness and understanding, but apparently, it did not. Not everyone is going to understand.

Santa's lucky the Dad wasn't present, or I suspect that jolly old elf would be picking his teeth up off the floor.

I also think it was wrong for the mother to advertise his sons' autism as well. If the boy wasn't wearing that shirt, the man wouldn't have been like that towards the children.

I hardly think the kids or the Mom are to blame, but rather the rude lout playing Santa.
Seriously, Santa needs to do better picking his department store stand ins!

Keep your head down, and your mouth shut.

Do not attempt to change attitudes, or to ask people to think. That has been done once in recorded history-- Lady, you don't have the balls to be a Freedom Rider.

Teach your children to act neurotypical at all costs. Give them whatever medication is necessary to suppress their personalities, and be grateful it exists as you watch them pay the price, or have them institutionalized.

Or dig up your courage, steel yourself, and kill them.

Your children are abnormalities. Abominations. They should never have been born. Normalize them, lock them away, or kill them painlessly.

There would never be understanding if we were all in the closet about it, though. I completely respect every individual person on the spectrum's right to not be open about their own status, but I applaud anyone brave enough to be open about it to NTs.

Yeah what's up with that? Talk about painting a bullseye on the child.

What if the kid wants to wear the shirt?

Lets not blame the mother...it is not her fault that guy was a total d*ck. I agree though she needs to let him disclose when he is old enough to be aware of the consquences, but the fault of this incident does not rest solely with her.

I agree with Kraich about drop-kicking santa. I dont think I would be able to control my impulses...even if I was the one with a jail cell for Christmas.

That is outrageous. I'm glad the boys weren't upset about it, but that experience should have been so much better for them.

Glad he is no longer working there, hope he got fired.

I wonder what the outcome will be after the investigation.
