I thought it would be nice to post a topic where people can show support for Miss Montana as she competes in the Miss America contest tonight.
(No negative comments, please)

Good luck, Miss Montana! :D

Yay! Go Alexis, go!

Really I wish she could see our support - maybe Miss Montana could join the Wrong Planet? Her username? Miss America, of course :)

The idea of assortive mating with a woman as lovely as Miss Montana has a certain appeal.

I'll cheer for Miss Montana if she will cheer for me.

I believe Miss Montana won for viewer favorite and she was in the top 12 semi-finalist list as well. Miss Iowa has tourette's syndrome from what I read online.

New York's Mallory Hagan (23) won the Miss America title after tap dancing to James Brown's "Get Up Off of That Thing" and answering a question about whether armed guards belong in grade schools by saying we should not fight violence with violence. Her platform was stopping child sexual abuse.

I just saw a story about Miss Montana and her autism on CNN, and I gotta say, she looks absolutely HOT in a bikini!

She presented well but I think the politics might have worked against her - ie. overwhelming public vote and all the specials and interviews around her might have soured the judges. There were a lot of good contestants though, I'm just glad that they didn't do that thing of calling her first or dead last.

Wasn't there also another girl in the top 15 who spent an overwhelming amount of time and effort into helping autistic children? I got a half a giggle out of that, had to feel a bit uncomfortable competing against someone who could say "Oh yeah!? Cuz I *live* autism!". Boh!
