I heard this would be a mudslinger of a campaign...but wow!
Either repubs are so f*ked up that they dont know how crazy they appear or they are throwing the election to Obama cuz they dont want to be in office when the market crashes again which it is predicted to within the next few years. They would rather it be on a black man's watch than their own. Harsh budget cuts during a stubborn recovery will only fishtail the economy into a deeper recession/depression than before.

Here's a thought:
In GOP-land (the establishment folks who put the "Grand Ol'" in GOP, that is), they are fighting a two front war: Obama and the Democrats on one side, and the Tea Party on the other.
They have known since at least last winter that they are going to lose in November--even if the Republicans were to win, it would be the Tea Party and not the GOP that was victorious.
So what's does game theory tell us is the best strategy in that situation? Why to duck, of course. Let the Democrats and the Tea Party go picknicking on one another. Obama will win, the Democrats will keep the Senate, and the House is a toss up but it doesn't really matter which way it goes because neither the Democrats nor the Tea Party will come of that exercise with anything like solid support, leaving the GOP room to groom a "real" Republican for 2016.
