Semi-retired pro wrestler and commentator Jerry "the King" Lawler collapsed in Montreal from a heart attack while working the commentary table with Michael Cole, after taking part in a tag team match. The King was given CPR, then was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his conditioned stabilized.
Get well, soon, Jerry.

That's sad. I remember being a little kid fascinated by WWF and Mr. Lawler was right there with me keeping it interesting with his excitable high volume commentary. Wasn't a bad wrassler either, for what it's worth.

As a wee tot I saw Jerry wrestle a few times at the Mid-South Colosseum (Monday Night Wrestling). And Saturday mornings I'd watch him battle the likes of Skandar Akbar (The Iron Sheik) and Kamala the Ugandan Giant on local TV...

I was pretty impressed until my dad convinced me that it was all fake, but even after that, I was still entertained.

Anyways.... Get better soon Jerry!
