My bus driver ran over a deer about a month ago. And being in the third row, I got an excellent view of it being slaughtered. Yeah, that was really appetizing to see right after eating breakfast and having it be first thing in the morning. Surprisingly, the bus wasn't damaged too badly and we still were able to make it to school on time. Yeah, deer are really weird here in the midwest. But it looks like Wisconson's deer take the cake! lol

So technically: he ate road-kill (even weirder).

Confusing. It isn't legal to eat road-killed deer here.

In Connecticut you can eat road kill but first you have to call the police and fill forms out stating it damaged your car then you get a tag for it.

Where I used to live, in NH, this was not uncommon; in my sister's town the police even have a list of people to call who will come get the deer . But really, how is this more disgusting than eating packaged meat from an anonymous "farm," that has been sitting around for a week or more?

From the animal's point of view, I think wild "free range" meat is much more humane. The animal hasn't been transported long distances and kept in holding pens before being dispatched.
