A wonderful musician. I've still got a cassette somewhere with one of his sitar concerts. He could really make the instrument sing.

I once heard him and his daughter Anoushka Shankar perform on Echoes some time ago and I might have a CD or two of their music. R.I.P. More can be found here: http://www.cnn.com/2012/12/12/showbiz/c ... ?hpt=hp_t3

He is survived by TWO amazing daughters: Anoushka Shankar, and Norah Jones ( half sisters to each other). Too bad George Harrison is no longer with us to comment on his passing. I have two vinyl LPs from the series of "East meets West" Albums he did in the Seventies with classical violinist Yehudi Menuhin.

I listen to him all the time. Brilliant composer. Deserves to be studied. I was listening to his music 10 minutes before I found out he died.
