Here you all go... You know that I have some serious doubts about Saddam's execution being real, since we have yet to see any quality photographic evidence. Here's an alternative news website that actually offers some interesting support to my theory.

janicka, I didn't know you were interested in conspiracy ! !! I've been poking around various sites, and the writers are frothing at the mouth about the Saddam video and execution. He was, after all, a CIA stooge that was used against the Iranians. Anything is possible regarding him and his alleged demise.

nice site , Im not sure about saddam I think he threw his cia handlers when he decided paying his credit card bill was a no go and invaded kuwait ... may be wrong tho.

It was telling that he was tried for the gassings of kurds and not the gas attacks against Iranian troops - the ones where America gave saddam satellite photo's of troop formations so he could gas them better ... oh yeah rigged trial.

My pet subject is 9/11 and the war for the last of the petrochemical supplies.

In general, I'm not. However, this one is a little too juicy to overlook. I posted my speculations about why I thought this was a conspiracy in the last thread I started about Saddam's forthcoming execution. Corvus appeared to have his doubts as well.

Post up some links! I'd love to see them.

The main problem that I see is that the pics of the body are extremely low quality and the video of the supposed execution itself is so shoddy. Seriously, the camera goes black right as he falls through the trap door and then when you see him supposedly swinging from the noose he may as well have been laying down while the camera was doing the swinging.

The conspiracy theory is wrought with problems of its own, though. The Shiites hate him, so who's to say that they'd join a conspiracy. Also, I can't tell if the insults that were exchanged were sincere or staged? I guess at the end of the day, I am not going to believe too much until some uninvolved party (like maybe the Swiss Guard) can produce a body and a corresponding DNA test.

Yes, I think its too juicy to overlook as well. Nothing about it made sense.

America puts him in power, he does a bunch of crimes no one cares about, invades a country, America sends him back (still dont care about his crimes) then 9/11 happens (where he had no more connections then any other terrorist nation (if any)) then all of a sudden, we care about his whole history.

Then he gets, what I feel, was an unfair trial then hung and buried instantly (apparently its custom for his religion or something). As well, the evidence showing his death sucks

It is amazing how some people want a conspiracy so bad they'll make one up first THEN look for evidence. And if you look hard enough to can prove/disprove literally any crazy idea.

Of course they hanged him. Do you think the Iraqis like him?

Many Iraqi's do! I imagine you, too, discount the fact that no one would have EVER tried Saddam had 9/11 not happened.

Do you think the U.S. media is going to boast about those who liked Saddam? Of course not! The only thing I've heard is how the world hated him even though the world was against the war in the first place. But I guess that ahh .. makes sense, right? Canada was cheering loudly oh thats right, no one really gave a rats ass. And that fact is spread across many, many people..

Yes, he had supporters. His Ba'ath party socialists and Sunnis. Shi'ites and Kurds obviously do not like him. I'm not so ignorant as to think ALL Iraqis hated him, but his supporters are a definite minority.

No one would have tried him because he had power and had no qualms against murdering anyone he suspected might oppose him. Of course I know this. And you know this. I'm not sure what you are arguing about here . . .

I'm arguing he committed a crime and no one cared until 9/11. His crimes went unspoken of until after 2001 when America attacked, then all of a sudden we had a 'hard on' for capturing Saddam. Never heard much about the guy between the first Iraq war and 9/11. His crimes still existed. Power or no power, we never made a stink about it until 9/11. Iraqi liberation? thats a bunch of BS but because 'more' people believe it its GOT to be true.

I, personally, just think there is more to all of this then what we have seen is all.

I'm going on record to say that I have reservations about this Saddam hanging for the same reasons as Corvus.

I've seen the video, but it seems pretty problematic. Corvus and I were tearing it apart in the thread I started about Saddam being executed soon.

My first reservation about it was that the professional cameras were only upstairs. The actual [supposed] death was captured on a cell phone camera which happenned to go black for a few sec's after the trap door opened. Then the quality of the image of him swinging around with the noose is sketchy, because it almost seemed like he was lying down and the camera was panning over him. This could have been an optical illusion, but it's disturbing nonetheless. Photos of the body with the snapped neck were equally problematic in quality - it may as well have been any random well-fed arab with a beard.

To me, these problems with the video raise red flags all over the place. Particularly since the U.S. was pretty cozy with Saddam during the Iran/Iraq war and the whole reason for invading Iraq during this was was nothing but a lie. In fact, Bush does nothing but lie, so I have these reservations about Saddam really being dead.

I'll concede that the conspiracy theory is equally problematic - they handed him over to the Shiites who hate him. The question then becomes are these people too proud to be bribed? Also, there are some sites claiming that the man on trial and at the hanging was a body double. However, they don't really give good pictures to compare the jawline (the supposed main difference) because the 1990's picture of Saddam has him with a big smile accross his face.

This should put the issue to rest. I just asked Jesus at http://www.answermejesus.com/ask.asp

My question was "Is Saddam really dead?" and Jesus answered "No chance in hell".

I went on to ask "Did Bush keep Saddam alive?" and Jesus answered "Hypocrite!"

So Jesus has my back on this one!

By the way, this is a funny site, and I started a thread about it in random discussion.

I think you got lucky, cause I asked the same question and got a different answer.

Trust me people. Saddam is dead and Bush is not the Anti-Christ.

I just asked him again. After a long drawn-out argument with him about whether or not I have faith, I was finally able to ask him "Is Saddam alive?" and he replied "Yes, my child".

Then I asked "Does Bush lie about Saddam's death?" and he replied "I would".

Last of all, I asked "Will the draft be reinstated?" and he replied "Watch out for the lightening!"

So, I don't know what that is supposed to mean. Maybe that's a yes, or maybe that means there will be another terrorist attack. He's really starting to bug me about the amount of faith I have, though, so I need to end my conversation with him.
