Has anyone been paying attention to the big ice storm that is sweeping the country? I have.

Houston might get ice about 1/2-inch thick. We get ice storms about once every 10 years--the foot of snow we got Christmas Eve 2004 does not really count.

We get more winter storm events than we do hurricanes--something that many people don't know.

Tim

Were under a winter storm warning for tonight and monday. Where I live we're suppose to get up to 9 inches of snow tonight.

I saw pictures on tv but forget which state but everything was encased in ice and trees were falling down. I think they said power was out there which is really dangerous for this time of year. It really does seem like the climate is acting very strange.

The past few days I have had to contend with 12 inches of snow plus below freezing temps. The temp this morning was -9 F. when I was digging the car out to go to work. The city didn't do anything to the roads today since its Sunday so it was slicker than snot driving home tonight. On top of that we do not have heat or hot water at my apartment for the past 12 days.

Probably Colorado... Makes me worry for my family out there. My uncle is from maine, so he can handle a lot of snow, but i worry about my aunt and cousin...

I hear we are getting freezing rain tonight. May not walk my dogs.
