The Guangxi Hechi City Intermediate People's court ordered Qin's parents to pay the victim's family 108,000 yuan - about $17,500. The girl will be put into a rehabilitation program for three years.

I wonder if the murdered girl was a cheerleader?Seems like something like that happened in Texas with cheerleaders.How sad.

I was thinking about that Texas thing.

The mother hired someone to bump off her daughter's rival in the highschool cheerleading competition. Something like that.

I thought about the Texas murder as soon as I started reading this story. I feel bad for both of those girls' parents. One couple's daughter is now dead and the other couple has a criminal for a daughter.

I have to think life for the convicted girl is going to be either long and empty while serving a life sentence, or will end abruptly with a death sentence.

I'd put her away for a lot longer than that as I don't think 3 years rehab is going to solve her problems somehow!

In Kentucky, a 12-year-old boy killed his 8-year-old sister. Likely the parents have bad parenting skills, but who knows why in this case.

As for the Chinese girl, 3 years is just a slap on the wrist.

Ever heard of the James Bolger case, the boys involved were around 9 yrs old killing a 2yr old.
