They plan to give him more than five times more prison time than the rapists are getting...

Exclusive: Leader of Anonymous Steubenville Op on Being Raided by the FBI

At first, he thought the FBI agent at the door was with FedEx. "As I open the door to greet the driver, approximately 12 FBI SWAT team agents jumped out of the truck, screaming for me to 'Get the f**k down!' with M-16 assault rifles and full riot gear, armed, safety off, pointed directly at my head," Lostutter wrote today on his blog. "I was handcuffed and detained outside while they cleared my house."

According to the FBI's search warrant, agents were seeking evidence related to the hacking of RollRedRoll.com.

"I'd do it again," Lostutter says.

Lostutter believes that the FBI investigation was motivated by local officials in Steubenville. "They want to make an example of me, saying, 'You don't f*****g come after us. Don't question us."

If convicted of hacking-related crimes, Lostutter could face up to 10 years behind bars—far more than the one- and two-year sentences doled out to the Steubenville rapists. Defending himself could end up costing a fortune—he's soliciting donations here. Still, he thinks getting involved was worth it. "I'd do it again," he says.

I expect that a jury will be selected and instructed to convict at all costs and the judge will be involved in that, as happened in the DeChristopher case. This is about the pride of important people and the war against Anonymous, they want his send a message.

12 armed, gun pointing, safety-off FBI agents to conduct a search warrant for hacking an athletic site? ?

It's common practice to go tactical like that for just about any reason.
I don't approve of it unless the situation warrants it and I definitely don't think it did in this case,
:x

It seems to be a case, to paraphrase Madeleine Albright, of "why have this wonderful SWAT team if we cannot always use it"... these raids also serve to prejudice juries. People tend to think that if the government decides to go all commando on someone "there must be a good reason, he MUST have done something wrong"... the Just World Fallacy.

The authorities might be using the threat of a 10-year sentence in an effort to "flip" him and get him to provide information or testify against who might be responsible for the hacking.

And many actual criminals are happy to strike a deal and testify against the person suggested by the authorities, whether true or not.

But for a fundamentally honest and decent person, this effort to "flip" and get to testify places a heavy burden indeed.

He deserves a medal of honor but instead he is going to end up like Bradley Manning.

Meanwhile, a Texas jury acquitted a cold blooded murderer because the victim refused to have sex with him... sick, sick plunge into the abyss.

No, they acquitted him because they had reasonable doubt that he acted illegally.

You really should check your facts - your posts are beginning to read like an Alex Jones rant.

What Lostutter did was in no way connected to the Steubenville case - just because you've been a hero once does not give you a lifetime "Get Out of Jail Free" card.

He was trying to commit an illegal act, prostitution... and because someone would not help him break the law he committed murder. Murder. He pulled the trigger, this was not a felony murder nonsense where he gets LWOPP for lending out his car!

Collecting Anonymous scalps far outweighs trifles such as rapes as far as the authorities are concerned. To sentence him to a far longer sentence than rapists get would mirror their priorities.
