Great profile of a high-functioning 24-year old with Asperger's, published in _Psychology Today_ magazine (USA). The title is offputting - but remember that the title of an article is chosen by a magazine sub-editor, not by the author of the article.
I finally read it, had delayed because of "that sounds nothing like me" reaction to title. Actually was a well-balanced article (in terms of the plusses & minuses of having AS) & I could identify with much of how she seemed to be (according to herself and others). I seek out stories of other people with ASD dx who share my demographic (adult female) characteristics, since so many stories are about males and/or children w/AS. Appreciate portrayals of people with whom I seem to have more in common, when I feel so unusual for being a minority within a minority.
