I have never heard of this trend. What country are you from? I am from the US, although not from a big city so maybe the trend has not made out to my area yet.
I can't imagine wearing one of these on a regular basis, but it would be cute for a costume party.
How is this man expecting to get onesies "banned"? Is he wanting people to just stop buying and wearing them? (If that's the case, then the petition is not so much a petition as it is a list of people who have personally agreed not to buy or wear onesies.) Is he wanting the company to stop selling them? (They are not going to stop as long as they are making money.) Is he expecting the government to pass a law against onesies??? (That might be one of the most bizarre laws passed in modern times, unless there is some serious threat to society that I am missing here...) I can't see what he is trying to accomplish here, besides causing a ruckus about a young-person fashion trend that he doesn't like.
Australia.
This guy wants people to stop wearing onesies and thinks that banning them will stop people wearing them. Although a ban just tends to make the thing more popular. They are popular wear at costume parties, and music festivals, sometimes people wear them down the street (uni students mostly). There is a tendency among certain peoples around here to call for something to be banned when they simply don't like it.
this guy is not in any position of power. He is just using a petition to have a whine about young people clothes.
although this country is overgoverned in certain areas, there is no way that any politician would use the law to tell people what to wear when walking down the street.
This guy just needs to mind his own business.
