Time to destroy what the industrial revolution has created:Big smoking industries and fossil fuel plants.

And replace them with nuclear reactors and clean factories.

So, those actors and such are throwing their weight behind it? What does that mean? Grandstanding? Giving little speeches? Or are they pouring their millions into the cause? Unless they are footing the bill to make a change, I don't really care what some celebrity thinks about it.

The question isn't whether the planet is warming up. Of course it is. The question is whether or not human activity is responsible. And since human activity wasn't responsible for all the other times the planet warmed up, what makes this any different? 1,000 years ago, when the Vikings colonized Greenland, it was warmer than it is now.

Some of them were my ancestors.

Ah hell, I've been killed so many times now that i scarcely give this c**p a thought. I have been killed by: DDT, corvairs, maraschino cherry, saccharin, cyclamate, alar, nuklar combat toe t toe with the russkies, meltdown, khoutek, asteroids, CA falling into the sea, fiscal collapse, side saddle trucks, pinto DC 10, sky lab falls to earth, electric fields, global cooling, ozone whatever it is that threatens to take away my primatine and REALLY kill me, solvent based paint, BHA/BHT, eggs, cheese, noodles (b4 they was pasta and thus good for you), the heterosexyal A"IDS epidemic, ebola, bird flu, and about a dozen things I can't recall as they killed me so quickly that i did not have time to get them from short term to long term memory.

the only thing we have to fear is fear itself!

Article in the Times regarding how the sun affects the climate more than CO2.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/u ... 363818.ece

Also mentions that while Arctic ice is melting, Antarctic ice is increasing ! ! So, how does global warming affect this bit, and not that bit, eh?

I actually heard one of these experts telling that global warming could cause temperaturesto rise, fall, or stay the same! A tough difficult to argue with that one is it not?

I claim that the real problem facing us is that a giant mutant star goat is en route our star system and going to eat it all. The aetherial shock wave from its approach is what is causing all our touubles including a general feeling of being ill at ease. let's see the climate change people deny that!

the real doomsday will be in 2035, when an asteroid with a big smile on its body comes our way:

One time, and quite some time ago, a group of my mother's coworkers - Catholics all convinced her that she should go to this prophetic meeting. I went along and saw how an asteriod was going to smash up Earth pretty well, but that those who would survive would be taken out by G-d's own "Ball of Retribution" that would shortly follow.

Another time the world ended and I didn't notice.

That doesn't make any sense according to Catholic dogma. They must be heretics or something.

ADDENDUM: That's probably unfair. I don't know enough to say that. However they beliefs are heretical.
