http://www.lex18.com/news/whitley-count ... tyPhoto/0/ - I honestly don't know what I'd do in her shoes, but I were running a marathon, and I was assigned the # 413, on a semi-related note, I'd run with it! :D

Much ado about nothing - someone doesn't want to run in a race so she uses an ordinary three-digit number as an excuse.

I wonder what she would have done if the event had taken place on Friday the 13th ... or Hallowe'en ...

Yes, it's "just" a number, but it's also "just" a paper bib. Get a Sharpie and change it to 686. Is the world running out of numbers?

Entire buildings are constructed with no 13th floor because some people have anxiety attacks over superstitious notions. If the floor above #12 is labeled #14, it's still the 13th floor, but it's harder to rent apartments there if you call it floor #13. What-ever.

Why do people have to create such pointless and unnecessary conflict? Give the kid a different number for gods' sakes.

If I were given that number I would have gone straight ahead with it , I don't mind whether it's 666 , 118 or 413298 for that matter.

I had people get upset if their restaurant bill came to $6.66,they would ask me to add a cent.
If you won wearing that number, the conservative Christians would say that you had the devil's help.

My brother is a Pentecostal preacher and he refuses paper money is the serial number contains 3 consecutive 6's. He does not know that i collect such bills because of this.

But what if, as some scholars argue, then number of the beast is actually 616?

Won't they all feel a right bunch of prats when they roll up in the afterlife....

Oh, forget it. I can't even type that with a straight face.

Regarding my 413 comment: It's a number that means a lot to me. You figure it out.
