I'm surprised I haven't seen a topic about this already , I mean one of these women have been in slavery all of there life's , 30 years.

They were apparently allowed limited access to the outside world , but this is still wrong.

The police know a fair amount but are reluctant to divulge what they know to the media? Perhaps there is an element of PC involved here in relation to the origin of the slave owners?

This is just more evidence that the decline and fall of the British Empire is not over yet.

I am wondering what the religious/cultural origins are of these people too. I don't think that this is entirely a Muslim problem, just as honour killings are not entirely a Muslim problem (historically, Sicilians practised it I believe).

Yes, this is all the hallmarks of an elite Saudi royal family who have acquired slaves in England, two of them British nationals. The police have point blank refused to divulge the nationality of the perpetrators. My guess is the police are worried if they release their details too quickly it might start a riot.

It was just announced that the people holding 3 woman were a married couple who are part of a minor communists political party

There names are Aravindan Balakrishnan a 73 year old man and Chanda Balakrishnan a 67 year old woman.

2 of the woman held as slaves met the couple in the early 70's due to similar political views and the couple managed to get them into slavery.

The couples origins are that Aravindan is Indian and Chanda is Tanzanian , they both arrived in the UK sometime in the 60's.

These guys are thoroughly brainwashed Marxist-Maoists. The three slaves were so brainwashed they lived in a psychological cage, ironically they could have escaped anytime they wanted but probably were devoid of free will. A little taste I guess of how mind control effects even small groups.
