A sick so-called game known as "knockout" - where teens appear to randomly sucker-punch strangers with the goal of knocking them unconscious with a single blow - is catching the attention of law enforcement throughout the nation,

my late father told me about his crazy relatives who would get great entertainment from going to a respectable restaurant and playing that game on each other sitting at the table, they called it "happy slapping" also. they were a bunch of sick pups IMHO.

The good news - this trend will slow down as they realize that occasionally these things go horribly wrong for the instigator. Heard that some kid in Detroit tried to taze a dad who had just seen his kid off on the school bus, the taser malfunctioned, the dad happened to have a CCW and a loaded 40 S&W, put a couple slugs in him and after the hospital trip the instigator will be getting a year in jail. Similarly half the entertainment might end up coming into play when the perps start running into former golden gloves boxers or MA people who have a bit more practicality in their training than McDojo.
