Ive jokingly contemplated the exact same thing. All these women's clothing and shoe stores have to do is provide a sitting area for the men with the sports channel on a tv.

I've thought about doing the same thing when my mom dragged me to the mall

Actually I got in a struggle with my mom in law, because of her thinking I´d hate her. Gecause for her it was not understandable, that as a girl, my reaction upon her inviting me to do a shoppng tour and buying cloth with her actually paying, was always so negative. For her it was impossible to think, that I simply hated shopping, anyway if someone elses pays or not, so she insisted that I must hate spending time with her. XD

Poor boy. Even if he wanted to invite her to shopping, if he hates it so much, I´d simply given her a certain amount of money, he was willing to spend, and then let her go on her own, or waited relaxed in a café for her. As a child, my parents sometimes dropped me in a bookshop, when they did shopping tours, if I got to exhausted/overwhelmed. Time does not exist in bookshops for me. ^^

The girlfriend sounded like a real peace of work. I think it was pathetic to commit suicide over this. He could have just ran out of the mall or walked away. She didn't need him to carry all those bags and why wasn't she carrying any herself or put them in their car so they wouldn't have to carry all those bags.

He could have told her that he was going to wait in the car while she finished off her shopping. It's too bad it had to happen this way. Mind you, his girlfriend wasn't exactly being an angel. However, jumping to his death wasn't a good solution either.
