A senior Iraqi commander says weapons seized from al-Qaeda-linked militants in the Arab country are advanced Israeli-made arms.

Fadhel Jamil al-Barwari, who is the commander of the prominent Golden Battalion, has made the remarks on his Facebook page, adding that all arms that have been confiscated from the terrorists since 2006 are Israeli-made.

The commander, who is from al-Barwari clan in an area between the city of Duhok and the Iraqi border in Kurdistan region, has also vowed to eliminate the foreign-backed militants.

Barwari established the Special Forces group for countering terrorism in the year 2003. The group, along with the Iraqi army, is currently fighting militants from the al-Qaeda-linked militant group of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the western province of Anbar.

The commander of the brigade has stressed in an official announcement that he will employ new missiles in fighting against the militants.

so you wont listen to the mouthpiece of iran but you will listen to the mouth piece of israel? you should look into the history of al qaeda it is pretty much owned by mossad and the cia. bin ladan was personally trained by the cia. israel has a great interest in the destabilization of the middle east. its a multi trillion dollar enterprise to have these wars.
just like how the DEA and ATF sell guns to the Mexican cartels for example operation fast and furious which was their plan to sell tons of guns to see what happens.

Israel sells arms to Azerbaijan, which is a country which also has strong ties to Iran, as well as recent historic ties to Russia. I find it HIGHLY doubtful that Israel would supply arms to AQ on the account that amongst other goals of AQ, the destruction of Israel figures quite highly. --AQ is probably knowingly buying Israeli arms to ally popular Iraqi opinion that Isael is again a face of 'The Great Satan'.

If some of these advanced arms are small arms, I'd like to point out that the IDF small arms fire NATO standard .50 cal, 7.62x51, 5.56, and 9 Parabellum rounds, which would probably be more difficult to come by in the Arab world than 14.6, 12.9x109,7.62R,7.62x39 and 5.40 mm rounds utilised by the Russian weapons that are common in the Arab countries.

AQ is most likely getting their stuff from Azerbaijan through most likely either Russian Organizatsiya or from Iran, who also have a vested interest in further formenting Iraqi public opinion against Israel.

Also, if AQ ever did make a direct attack against Israel, I think Israeli operatives would come down on them in ways that would make the CIA quite jealous, due to the fact that the Israeli's tend to blend in better, and be more familiar with Arabic culture than US covert/Intel ops.
