This is so sickening. And to think this guy worked around kids.Witnesses did the best they could to try and follow the kidnapper but he got away in traffic. The police later found her body in his house.

Police checks are usually mandatory these days when working with kids. However was this creep employed in the same school as his victim? it sounds more like a random abduction in full view of the public...

He didn't know the girl. But he was employed at a local school and had passed the background check.Imagine how the kids he taught feel.We tell our kids to go to a teacher if they feel threatened by someone, who can they trust?

Clearly the school must review it's process of cross-checking if prospective staff have a criminal record...

That wouldn't really worry me too much,it would depend on what drug.If he got caught with a joint that's no big deal.I'm sure there are good teachers that have done something dumb, like get a DWI.
He had been working around kids since '98,I'm wondering if he bothered any other kids and they were too scared to tell on him.
