I want these. They would be great for the people here that have trouble tying their shoes.

I'm fine with my slip on sneakers and my Velcro sneakers.

As a child I was way late in learning how to tie my shoes (and ride a bike).
On the shoe thing, I gave up a few years ago and changed to sandals.

It took me forever as a kid to learn how to tie my shoes, and my daughter is having the same problem. Only problem is, I'm pretty sure these shoes will cost an arm and a leg!

I'm 23 and I still have trouble tying my shoes! However, I wear loafers because now that I'm older, learning to tie my shoes is no longer relevant.

However, even though those shoes would be great for people who have trouble tying their shoes, these shoes will probably cost a bundle, given that NIKE is the producer of these shoes.

I think it's dumb. Making shoes easier to tie isn't, but motorizing it seems silly when you can just simplify the manual process.

They have shoe laces that are spiral, so you just have to pull them and they make your shoe tight without having to ever tie the laces - that is what my son uses. He 'knows' how to tie his shoes (finally), but they untie 100 times a day, so it still is not practical.

Just use an Ian knot. Nothing can be easier.

I had some Merrels that didn't have regular laces, they had rubber type laces and a thing that you slid to tighten them up.It took me a long time to learn to tie my shoes, then I learned how backwards.

That's a bit of a letdown, I was picturing them actually tying themselves into a bow.

I can't wait to see these in person, though. Some things are just too good to wait to happen. :D
