Here's the thing about our government: They're seeing terrorists where they don't exist and they're waging wars where we don't belong.
What needs to be done is, we need to tell our government to stick their noses up their own *sses instead of everyone else's. Until that happens, you can bet (and win) on every move that the government makes against other countries because they don't know how to sit down, shut up, and mind their own business. Let the UN handle it. America does not have to be in the middle of every d*mned conflict in the world, we have our own problems to worry about, not the least of which is our economic situation.
What about terrorists where the DO exist? As in the World Trade Center on 9/11/2001 or the Boston Marathon Massacre?

Terrorism is a threat that will always exist. The pursuit of stamping out terrorism cannot be used as justification to treat the entire world as one big potential melting pot for terrorism. We are not the world police, we do not belong in other countries, dictating jack sh*t, just because we got scared sh*tless in our own little paradise.
True terrorist actions are few and far in between, can you honestly sit there and say that it's ok to use those situations as justification to go out into the world, get involved in other countries' internal political affairs, and tell them what's ok for them to do or not to do, in their own countries? Because, so far, that's been 90% of this very long, "war against terrorism".
If the situation were reversed and some rogue agents somewhere decided to go over seas and bomb some building full of people, and their government decided to come into america and dispense their version of justice, and dictate what they think we should be allowed to do and what they think we should be allowed to have or not have, according to their laws and beliefs, do you know what we'd call that? We'd call it an invasion and we'd send them packing with their guns up their arses.
Under the provision of searching for and stamping out terrorism, the U.S. has:
-Enacted at least one program that monitors all communication worldwide, including that of our allies (PRISM), which has alienated everyone that previously thought we could be trusted.
-Wasted hundreds of billions, if not trillions of dollars, maintaining said program(s) as well as the development of still more new espionage technology, and continually getting involved in matters that have nothing to do with us.
-Opened us up to yet more terrorist activity in retaliation for the soldiers that have fallen, and especially for the civilians that have been murdered by
our drones. To say nothing of the number of reports of american soldiers that were/are/have been defiling the corpses of enemy combatants.
My god man, even americans are being treated as possible terrorists by it's own government, you can't sit there and tell me that you see any of this is ok, just because there are terrorists out there.
It's practically become a glorified witch hunt, one that has drained our resources horribly.
