To me it's just replacing a habit with another habit.

However I don't think banning them in public places is very fair.

The e-cigarettes are nothing but pacifiers for adults.

Banning regular cigarettes is something that at least makes sense as it can adversly affect the health of people around you. Banning e-cigarettes does not make sense other than for appearances. I don't tend to find doing things merely for appearance to be very logical.

Banning e-cigarettes is the handiwork of the health nazi (i.e. control freak).

^ This, unless it is either confirmed that e-cigarettes are also damaging to the health of others in public places, or there is evidence to suspect that.

Stimming is nothing but a pacifier for autistics.

In a conversation with a bar bouncer about e-cigs, he told me that smoking e-cigs in some public places is seen as "disrespectful" of the place, or its atmosphere, or the customers, or whatever. I think this is the work of ex-nicotine addicts, who cannot bear the sight of someone enjoying something that they have denied themselves.

All the kids at work use them but then at break time they smoke a cigarette.

The e-cig reminds me of a peace pipe because it gets passed around, everyone has a go and it is a bit of fun.

You can do all kinds of fancy tricks with them.

It would be nice if the vapour was multi-coloured though.

I was using e-cigs for a while, but have since given up in favor of cheap, flavorful, roll-your-own shag.

That´s what I believe too. What if the owner himself likes a smoke?
