Has anyone tried this? Or would anyone try this? The advertising is hideous and offensive, even to me, but, rabbit with cheese? I have only ever eaten rabbit when I was a kid (yeah, I actually killed a few and ate them). Never heard of rabbit pizza though.

That actually sound delicious. I can see why the ad campaign might upset a few people, but then again, I don't put rabbits on a "pedestal" like some people do Sure they're cute, but so are deer, and I have no problems with eating deer. Never had rabbit though, but I really want to try it.

Now, if the rabbits used to make the pizza or the pelts on the billboard in question were killed in an inhumane manner, and the meat simply went to waste, then I would have an issue. If you're going to go through the effort of taking an animal's life, you shouldn't let it go to waste.

I think people are offended that it is being advertised this way just prior to Easter (note the word "hell" at the bottom). I think it is deliberately provocative and insensitive on that level.

Caught me off guard at first but they have every other kind of topping. It was just a matter of time before rabbit was added somewhere in the world. The rabbit pelt billboard won't last forever since the pelts will eventually rot.

I personally think it's pretty tacky and unnecessarily provocative considering it's an Easter advertisement, but in many parts of the world rabbit populations are out of control. They do a lot of harm not only to agriculture, but two other native animals who share the same food sources as them, but are less able to compete. Some places like New Zealand, and even parts of Southern California, they are just viewed as vermin. I have no problem eating rabbit, and I wouldn't have a problem with culling rabbit populations that are out of control and hurting agriculture and other species, but I wouldn't eat their pizza just because I find the billboard so offensive. Sometimes unpleasant things must be done, but there's no need for this.

Now if those PETA folks scalp the advertisers and added the scalps to the billboard I would find that somewhat amusing.

Reminds me of a butcher who put up a notice 'Watership Down, you read the book, seen the film now eat the cast'.

Nooooooo,not Hazel!! !!
It's not that attractive looking. Not likely to inspire hunger. When I see the hide of an animal, I don't think, mmmmmm,YUMMY.I can't see any difference than using cowhide to advertise burgers, depends if the animals are harvested humanely, and had a life prior to butchering.
Wouldn't homeless people try to pull it down to get the furs? That would be one hell of a blanket.Or even a tent. That would be a better use of the hides.

I'll admit that sometimes PETA goes overboard, they had a big stink over that groundhog,Phil, that he was being forced to come out of his den and be subjected to cameras,or something like that. That groundhog lives in a plush basement,I think he was a rehabilitated animal, but he's living better than lots of people and other animals. They shouldn't get so far out on a limb on some of this stuff,it makes them look nutty. They got upset because Wheaties was going to have a bass pro on the box.I' d be more likely to laugh, you don't have to be in good shape to fish, most of those guys are pretty chunky. Not really a role model for fitness,"Hey Jimmy, let's drink beer all day,eat salty and fat filled snacks, catch some fish, and fry it and some taters in lard, drink more beer."Not that there's anything wrong with that on a summer day.
PETA should concentrate more on the valid cases of animal abuse, gill nets, puppy mills, pet shops, dog fighting, importation of endangered and invasive species.

Yep, Mexican style in Black Mole poblano sauce, from a dish in a basket filled with that shredded green plastic 'grass'.
