Okay, so this gets approved, despite all the death and suffering caused by alcohol, but marijuana is a "devils tool?"

Doesn't seem like a very good idea, I bet this is illegal with in a couple years.

how could one sniff such a thing? how would they remove the "burn"?

I have heard of people snorting alcohol before. I have heard of fighters snorting wads of salt to "cauterize" or toughen the vessels inside the nose to stop from bleeding so easily when thwacked. That would have to burn. People are crazy today. Look at what meth consists of and krakodil (however its spelled) and people put that into their bodies

those people would have to be some kind of psychotic to not be put off by that kind of extreme pain. sorta like the types who keep charging at the cops despite getting repeatedly tased.

Like I said, people are crazy these days. I have many kinfolk in prison right now for drug related offenses. Multiple incarcerations, each of them. They never learn. They really are crazed. Throwing their lives away, just like stuff you see on "Cops." And the things people use for drugs these days, to get a rush.., unbelievable. Pretty soon you going to have to show a drivers license to buy a packet of gummy worms.

Go into a hardware store these days and anything that is heavy enough to sell for a quarter (25 cents) is under lock and key or else it will be in someones pocket and down at the scrap metal place so they can score whatever they using to singe their arteries with this week.

Sure, the point of ingesting alcohol is in large part a matter of getting drunk, but how the hell are you going to taste it if you snort it? The taste is at least part of the enjoyment of drinking - at least it is for me.

I wonder what the profit margin will be on these products.

People will snort friggin' anything, believe it.
All drugs that are snorted hurt & burn like hell, sometimes for a while.
That doesn't stop people from snorting drugs because it's a known, expected part of doing so.
I don't expect that snorting alcohol would be much different, except you'd be instantly drunk, which would probably at least dull the pain.

The only redeeming quality is that since it's legal the doses will likely be clearly marked meaning that at least the kind of accidental ODs that occur with street drugs because of varying & unknown potentcies won't happen with this.
They'll happen, of course, probably a lot, just not from unknown purity & dose issues.

One expects that the effects on college campuses, teens, and young people in general will be ugly in various ways, especially at first.

I don't doubt it. There are people who literally take alcohol up the ass, so that it can be absorbed faster. Talk about not tasting a thing!

Instant glass of booze, rum and vodka not being personal favorites, but any drink in a dry house….

I am going to have to think hard about this one before i make a serious comment but from a harm reduction perspective the idea sounds insane. Alcohol is already a widely abused drug and it seems the sole purpose of this product is for people to abuse alcohol. I bet it tastes rank too. The chemists who made this should have spent there time researching a cure for greed and idiocy before unleashing this on the world. Silly humans.
