will be dependent on human beings getting along with each other. Doesn't seem promising if earth history is indicator of success.

Before we can do deep space we need a decent propulsion system. So far we have propulsion that is no different in principle from ancient Chinese solid fuel rockets.

Didn't Obama dismantle NASA? I could have sworn we did, because we are catching rides to the space station with the Russians while we are sanctioning them.

They shut down the Space Shuttle program. Not NASA itsself.

Theyre still on the job, but they dont have a company car anymore. So we have to carpool with other countries into space.

I wonder when they are going to fix that.

the phrase about Obama "dismantling NASA is Paul Ryan propaganda talk. Obama stopped funding for the space shuttle program because that technology is rapidly becoming obsolete. Instead Obama proposes that NASA use financial resources to develop radical new technologies which would keep pace with sophisticated technology being developed now and in the future. Obama merely stopped the shuttle program and the plans to put an astronaut on the moon, again. He wants to focus on what science is preparing to do next, not what we have done in the past. That is the reason the world is passing us by. It doesn't help that Conservatives have this crusade against teaching our children the fundamentals of science. We cannot keep up with the rest of the world with that game plan.

Oh it's propaganda? Speaking of propaganda, aren't those Russian guys that were sanctioning giving us rides to the space station. Well I guess trips to the space station will be a thing of the past too, damn that Paul Ryan propaganda! Do you think the Russians still fix our space telescopes? I would hate to have to rename Hubble to Rubble just because is not getting any attention from us newly earthbound Americans.
