Quote:
Beloved Canadian author and activist Farley Mowat has died. He was 92.
Born in Belleville, Ont., and raised in Saskatoon, Mowat became best known for telling stories set against the Canadian wilderness.
His most famous works included “The Dog Who Wouldn’t Be” from 1957, “Owls in the Family” from 1961 and “Never Cry Wolf” from 1963.

I remember watching his autobiographical film "Never Cry Wolf" back in the early 1980s.

I've read that book many times and loved the movie too. The Sea Shepherds have a boat named after him. He will be missed.

Owls in the Family was really good. I'll raise a glass...

I adored his books....

One of the first to publicly explain wolves' place in their world.

He did so much to teach us the value of animals.

A great man, but foremost, a good animal. He will be missed by many species.
