The Army Ranger who saved her died May 13.

Please enlighten us, as this article indicates that she was never deployed to Afghanistan, and that she was discharged in late August, 2K3.

oops, Iraq it be. The page I initially jumped through said Afghanistan. Just passing it along. I only remember her rescue being mostly a fabrication used to glamorize and justify an unjustifiable occupation.

it was the army ranger who rescued her who was killed,not jessica lynch

Regardless of what we might think of the war, both Jessica Lynch and the army ranger served honorably.
