That cat was just protecting its own. Cause everybody knows all cats have Asperger's.

Yeah, I saw this on the news this morning and it's quite believable.

My mother once received a phone call from a neighbor, she asked her to come over to their house but not ring the doorbell and be as quiet as possible. She went over and was taken into the lounge. Inside the lounge was Rex, an ex police dog, he was on the ground, wimpering, and covering his eyes with his paws. Outside the lounge was Thomas, my mother's cat, and he was walking up and down daring the poor dog to come outside for another fight.

I can't help but wonder why the dog attacked like that.

I've grown up with cats, and the only time I ever saw a cat attack a dog like that was in defense of her kittens. Maybe the cat saw the autistic child as it's own.

I've seen cats attack dogs in defence of their territory. Probably just a coincidence that there was a toddler in the way.

It reinforces the importance of socializing dogs. Not all dogs need it but it's a good preventative step to avoid attacks, and it gives the dog more friends.

Wow that dog looked like he was just playing, then suddenly he was attacking.

Cats! Cats! Cats!

The following is kind of a sad downbeat.  They're going to quarantine the dog for ten days and then put it to sleep.

The dog did attack.  But it grabbed an ankle, not a more vulnerable part of the body.  Still curious why the dog acted as it did.
