US has First Case of Local Transmission of MERS - CDC - CTV News

I didn't read this, I didn't click it, I don't know what MERS is.
But it can't be good, and it's probably horrible.

And there's likely not a goddamn thing I could do about this even if I did choose to terrify myself with this story.

Yeah, it does sound foreboding. But where there is an over-population, there can be a reaction that reduces that population. We may have to emmigrate to space stations to avoid a plague. If we can build them fast enough.
