California man kidnapped wife

You really need to read the whole article. This has almost nothing in common with the Ariel Castro case in Ohio.

I'm not sure what to think of this, but it makes me wonder how many more similar but unreported cases there are, or whether this would have been considered less shocking a couple of centuries ago.

the comments defending him are illuminating. nothing wrong with a 30 year old man drugging and kidnapping a 15 year old girl, only man-haters would think otherwise.

Perhaps his new roommate in prison will treat him likewise?

:D

Nice hypocrisy (in reference to you pointing it out). I'm sure she was just employing a bit of "tongue-in-cheek", which you seem to be fond of. At least she didn't go into a thread about the seriousness of male rape to employ hers.

edit: (It would have been a tad crass if she had)

You're not very good at ignoring me, are you?

It's true, the ease with which I can ignore you comes and goes, but I'm an imperfect being so I'm not going to beat myself up over it. I don't appreciate your tactics all that much, so sometimes ignoring them just doesn't feel right...

Logic and reason? No, I don't imagine you would like them.

Not your particular brand of it, no. It makes me throw up in my mouth a little. :eew:

What brand would that be?

You should really get that checked out by the way, an allergic reaction to higher level thought sounds like it could be nasty.

My comment was not Only referring to sexual assault, though that was included in the nightmare he made of her life.

Specifically I was referring to being a captive, being helpless, being apart from everyone she had known and loved, being owned and tormented and enslaved by someone she dared not try to get away from.

He will hopefully experience a similar life in a small cell with a large man with the same domination habits.

Hopefully he will face, each night, the realization of what he did to her.

And God bless Michelle Knight for speaking out for her!

As in reasoning vs feeling.

Are you two like a tag-team or something? I argue with you and he's there throwing himself in front of my posts, now here you are piling on when he tries to take a cheap shot at me. While you ignore the "I'm not talking about punitive rape - but I'm clearly taking about punitive rape" post(s) that I called out in the first place, no less. Apparently petty personal vendettas are more important to you than any kind of consistency.
