I suppose it's not the best thing for the language, but the English language has been evolving constantly. Nobody speaks like they do in Shakespeare plays anymore, in fact if a person from a hundred years or so ago were to show up here, they would be apalled at our use of the language. The bottom line is that people can understand the meaning.

I'm not in favor of these latest developments, but I grudgingly accept it as the inevitable evolution of the language.
