FOund this and piqued my interest, although I personally don't feel "happy" at hearing about the fates of people who peaked in high school, wish there was a way to fix the system.

That was a great story. I know of two cool kids who got married two years after graduation. They were divorced five years later and the father has the kids because the mother is a heavy drinker.

...Cock , since you're Brit ~ I always thought that " high school " was an American phrase , not a British one , but a Brit-raised friend of mine referred to his those-years school (in Edinburgh) as " high school " - Has the more American term come into British usage , or it it a phrase for a different type of school in the U.K. then there was before ?????

Well, for what it's worth, I was considered by my peers to be everything from a nerd to a ret*d in high school, but that success that I was supposed to have obtained according to the article has always eluded me. Then again, I have a stable marriage and family life, and I like to think I've come out of my shell enough to realize my true inner bohemian bum.

Some of the "cool kids" at my high school seemed to have turned out fine now, based on their Facebook profiles.
