I wonder how this will play out concerning Saudi Arabia, ISIS, Iran, Yemen, Israel, and oil.

I predict that there will be more social unrest in the Middle East.

The line of succession is well planned. Exactly how the Prince will behave as King is another matter.

Meanwhile, this means the Queen is now the oldest (and longest ruling) Monarch in the World ! !

Lets all stand for a moment and sing "God Save The Queen."

What a time for him to go. Has the kingdom completed construction of its anti-ISIS barrier yet?

I don't think they've completed it yet. They're also building a fence along the Yemeni border.

Perhaps since the old tyrant is dead, his daughters can be released from home detention

I don't think much will change in Saudi Arabia, you go from one ancient king to another.

I thought medieval kingdoms died out 500 years. Not so in the wonderful world of the Saudis where once a prince always a prince. Just have lots of children, preferably of the male type and once you die, pass the baton onto the next one in line. An occasional hiccup when the wonderful paradise you export to the rest of the world spawns unsavoury movements such as Al Quida and ISIL. We can only dream what it's like to be a prince. To make decrees. To be worshipped by the people. Have 50 wives and if one disagrees with you just say the three magic words, "I divorce you" and it's all over. More than enough women out there attracted by you wealth and power to add to the collection. Dissent? What dissent? If people complain lock them up. Lash them, behead them. Harsh? Just control the press media so people don't know what harsh means. External criticism? Have that covered as well by buying up other countries and buying out other politicians and rulers. If only we were all as lucky as the king of Saudi Arabia.

Did you find it touching that all our flags were at half mast in honour of the "great man"
