Quote:
The unknown male whale is called 'lonely' because he appears to communicate at a frequency not used by any other whale in the North Pacific, and so far, it is not thought to have ever got a response to his songs.
Possible partners may not be able to hear him, or his song may be so different from their own that they can’t understand it, but this has not stopped 52 singing into oblivion.

I feel for this whale.

What a lonely existence, being so close yet so far away.

Someone posted about this like a couple years ago here on WP.

And I google it. Its a poignant mystery. Maybe the whale is deaf and (like deaf humans) and cant talk quite right. Or maybe he is an aspie whale!

Awwww. I think it's more likely he's lonely than "being single and enjoying it".
