Does anyone know what all brands of the catfood are recalled? I found a list at menufoods.com but then on CNN this morning they mentioned brands such as Iams & Eukanuba that aren't even on the menufoods list. So how are we suppose to know what is safe to feed our cats since the FDA website says they haven't completed their list yet?! !

My kitty eats the Fancy Feast, Meow Mix and Friskies Prime Filets canned. So if anyone hears anything on those brands please post.

My cat eats fancy feast but used to eat up to 2 mos ago Iams. I looked at the list and Iams was not on it or fancy feast but some one told me they heard on the news that Iams is also included on the recall.

My cats eat Fancy Feast, Friskies, and Nine Lives. I think my dogs eat Pedigree but I'm not entirely sure.

I just looked on the Purina site which makes fancy feast cat food and they said nothing about cat food but said they are voluntarily recalling mighty dog food.

Its just the wet food so do not panic about the dry pet food. I feed my oldiest dog
Pedigree pouches (I add oat bran and some dog asprin to it).

Iams and Eukanuba are recalled too according to Headline News and CNN this morning. So not everything is on the www.menufoods.com list. I emailed Friskies this morning and asked because nothing was on their website. I'll post if they respond to my email. I tried to email Meow Mix but couldn't get on their "contact us" page so either everyone else in country was checking their website for news or maybe they were working on putting up a notice on their site. I was going to email Fancy Feast but I saw on their site they are made by Purina just like Friskies. So figure no need to email the same company twice. Also Purina is made at least some of their stuff in Flagstaff, AZ so that is not same location as the menu foods plant. So maybe Purina stuff is safe. I thought about calling the local Petsmart store but figured they would have their phone off the hook from everyone calling. The FDA website this morning said they did not have a full list yet because they are still investigating and testing.

Yes I do feed her some dry food. And she gets organic dry food, but she will not eat the organic can food. She is used to getting a couple tablespoons of can food before bedtime or she sits in the middle of the room and howls all night. Yes, she is ruler of the house! But she is also old (13 I think) and needs some wetfood because it helps cats with kidney function since they don't drink water as much as dogs do.

The Iams website is also recalling Canadian Iams wetfoods. And it does state that their wet foods, but not treats or dry food are made at the Menufoods plant in Kansas.
