http://www.thestar.com/business/2015/10/05/landmark-tpp-deal-reached.html
We don't know the full agreement yet as some country (Like Canada  ) asked that the deal shouldn't be revealed to public for another month. (Surely it as nothing to do with the elections. )
Not all hope is lost though; there is elections right now in Canada and the NDP (Having chances to win.) promised to reject the deal if it lower the trade protections of Canadian agriculture, which it doe. The Liberal Party said it would examine the trade agreement before deciding if they should support it, meaning that it's possible that they reject it with enough popular pressure. As for the Conservative Party; they will sign it even if there is big manifestation in all the country obviously.
If one of the countries that has made the deal reject it right after having reached it, then it will be a hard blow against the TPP for the sheer symbolism and may offer some hope. For that and the soon coming climate conference, the results of the Canadian elections are more critical than ever for the future of the World.

Unfortunately, political parties frequently say one thing before elections, and do the opposite afterwards.
This is an unmitigated disaster. Things are bad enough right now, we don't need anymore unfair competition from countries that have unfair labor practices. Hopefully the U.S. Senate will kill this, though I doubt it.
The whole concept of eating food produced in these countries disgusts me. Their standards are so low, and there is no way we can inspect everything. I will continue to eat only produce from countries I trust, and none of those are in Asia.
