this just in- composer james horner [won the Oscar for the "Titanic" soundtrack theme] perished in a 2-person plane crash. RIP.

The Titanic soundtrack is already poignant; it's going to sound even sadder to me now. RIP.

Very sorry to hear about it. One of the very best Hollywood film composers together with John Williams and Danny Elfman. From memory didn't he win the the Academy award for his score for " Dances with Wolves".
