It looks like he didn't plan or execute it very thoroughly.......

According to initial reports, the van used in the assault was bought June 1 on eBay; so right now I think whatever the plan was, it was not that thought out (despite the touch-sensitive bombs).

It's a lot harder when people can fight back and they have some training to move to cover/concealment.

Except the police didn't know he was coming. If the assailant was a better shot, the training and gun handling of the defense doesn't matter in a lot of cases, especially for that officer in the car who apparently wasn't supposed to die that day. This was also shown in those demos of what could have happened if the Charlie Hebdo victims had guns: it was more of a show of the power of an ambush instead of an anti-gun argument. Never mind the part that someone cracked and let the terrorists in through a secure lock in France.

Nothing to do with politics.

If you watch the videos, the police were moving to cover/concealment behind their cars and whatnot, so they provided hard targets. He could have been an expert marksman and it wouldn't have mattered.

Their ability to shoot back means the attacker couldn't assault them, rather just harass from his own cover (which ended up with his death).

He would have had to have taken the time to study that particular PD for thier weaknesses and flawed doctrine (it'll be there even if he has to probe a little for it) and make plans that use that to his strategic and tactical advantage. Had he done that he would have still been taken down in the long run but he would have been the topic in dinner table conversation the world over for weeks. As it is now, he'll be forgotten before tomorrow' morning's breakfast.....

I'd be wondering where he got the money to buy that van/weapons/explosives and what if any contact he had with the FBI or any other LEA.

^^^

I very much doubt that there's any sort of "false flag" or whatnot here.

Not talking about a false flag, as you know our government to spy on almost every American and favorite tactic of the FBI is to go out and find some angry dumb yokel to entrap then arrest them claiming they stopped an imminent attack. The FBI have provided live explosive materials as well as all sorts of weaponry to people during the course of investigations, remember the ATF Fast and Furious debacle? The shocking thing is that this material disappears and when that happens they have literally just given a bomb to a terrorist to use on the American public. Guess what, it has happened before with the first World Trade Center bombing. What do you think would happen to the investigation if they let a big one thru the cracks? You think it would still be public knowledge?

I would very much like to see the FBI (Federal Bureau of Intimidation) and a few others kept on a shorter leash.
