Yet one more reason why, if asked, I usually say, "No, I'm not Australian". What this nation does, under the disgusting (conservative, of course) government we now have is simply beyond belief. Horrible acts perpetrated by small-minded, bigoted people who seem to think that if it's not happening in Australia we can therefore ignore it because it just doesn't count.
