We need to weaponize marijuana, and drop that on ISIS so they can chill out and quit killing people. Drop some Doritos and Mountain Dew too, to satiate their munchies. :P

I agree... a marijuana bomb would do wonders. We should also drop off some skateboards and video games.

I believe doing something insane like detonating a nuclear bomb over Mosul - or any Middle Eastern city - would turn the whole Islamic world against us.

Mosul is not "any Middle Eastern city." Mosul is ISIS's stronghold, and "the whole Islamic world" does not support ISIS. Your irrational fear of islamic retaliation is unfunded, thus islamophobic, and I further suspect you could be suffering from radiophobia. What is the size of your amygdala? Do you fear global warming?

I didn't say that the whole Islamic world supports ISIS... yet. Drop a nuclear bomb on a Middle Eastern city, and you risk getting the whole Islamic world to line up behind those fanatics, as they would see us, the outsiders, as the enemy.
And no, it's not out of fear that I say this, but out of common sense.

I'm pretty sure it's a combination of islamophobic and radiophobia.

Think what you will. I will say this, though: I'm not the one afraid of opening the doors to the west to Muslim refugees.

Someone is not going to be happy.

Baal was the one SG-1 had the hardest time taking down.

ISIS & Baal having a fight now?
This could be a mess.

There actions are inexcusable and the loss of Human heritage/history is irreparable.

This behavior of destroying historical artifacts must be view in a much larger context, lest we blame Islam exclusively.

I am not and would NEVER defend Islam, but this kind of destruction has occurred throughout antiquity.

Eg. The Spanish destroyed almost all traces of the Incan Empire.
The destruction of the library in Alexandria

Many more examples exist, unfortunately.

They are a bunch of f*****g ashholes for doing this

This is despicable. What is even more despicable is that ISIS hide amongst women and children and therefore are very hard to locate. (At least that is what I have been hearing in the news.)

What is also hard to believe is that so little of the population would be willing to stand up for themselves against these jerks. ISIS knows this and that is why they feel invincible.

ISIS is no more than a bully and a coward. When you stand up to a bully, it will back down. Look at the example of the Druze in Syria who were massacred by an Al Queda affiliate. The Druze bound together and professed that they were determined to fight and defeat and Al Queda or die trying. The Druze have not been bothered since. Perhaps, their fellow Muslim countrymen should adopt the same attitude in dealing with these punks. I will probably catch a lot of flack for saying this, but I have lived in ME countries and know how it is over there.

I get what you're saying about standing up to bullies, but I think the ISIS militants are more than that - I think they have terrified the civilian population and this is why the refugees are fleeing in such large numbers. I could do a google search to find this information out, but I'm not mentally stable enough right now. So I'll just say that I think ISIS subjects the civilian population to terror tactics such as public executions and torture. Some people are just plain evil.
