IMO, it's strange that Cruz is already considering VP choices just after he and John Kasich decided to help each other make sure that The Rump doesn't get the GOP nomination.
Yeah.
The second place candidate falls even farther behind after loosing a multistate primary. And he picks THAT moment to announce a running mate????? And this is before either Hillary, or Donald have even talked about the subject of running mates.
Either Cruz has chutzpah, or something slick is going on in the bowels of the GOP.
Cruz has visions of sugar plums in his head and fantasies that he can stop The Donald on the first ballot and pick up the pieces on the following ballots. Cruz is a charming fellow if you like humans that remind one of cobras.
Actually I think I have figured out why he is doing this premature running mate stunt.
It could be a logical, if rather desperate, ploy.
Among the bigotries that Trump exploits is male chauvinism ("does SHE look like a president?"). But Trump pays the price for that tactic by potentially alienating the half of the GOP voter base that happens to be women.
So Cruz hopes to get sudden reinforcement from that 50 percent of GOP voters by this stunt of picking a female running mate.
Dont think its gonna save his campaign, but we will see.
