Charlie Sheen: "I am HIV-positive"

Charlie Sheen just announced on The Today Show that he is HIV-positive, has been diagnosed for 4 years, and, basically, his reason for the announcement was so that the shakedowns (people bribing him, saying they would tell the world) could be stopped.

"I have tiger blood!"

No, Charlie, that's the HIV.

(No empathy here for druggies and other recreational activities that cause such.)

What a big surprise. Someone who has bragged about his sexual debauchery with his harem of porn-stars, substance abuse and general idiotic behavior. Least likely HIV candidate ever, right?

The kid who starred in "two and a half men" has said it's the worst filth anyone can watch.
He's none the better for starring in it, but at least he isn't sugar coating or downplaying it.

Charlie Sheen is a typical product of Hollywood. Self self self.

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have that attitude. It's not HIV-positive folks in general I mean to sneer at. There are all kinds of ways to end up with HIV.

Charlie Sheen in particular, though, yes, I do mean to sneer at. Live like a playboy, die like a playboy.

Except, of course, that he's got money enough to most likely be able to keep it at bay and die of old age like the rest of us...

I find it bizarre that some of the language in these stories about him make it sound like he's some kind of hero. As if infecting prostitutes with HIV is a consensual act, while under the "supervision" of his doctor?? What???

He's the epitome of a person who feels "entitled." No exaggeration, in my opinion.

He got what he so justly deserved, plus he's going to get even more just desserts that he rightfully deserves

He's a pretty disgusting person if he's knowingly spread HIV around...this is why prostitution should be legal, so then prostitutes have protection from inconsiderate a**holes who would have no problem infecting them with STDs.

I hate to tell you, France was the most recent country to make prostitution illegal and that was at end of 2013.
Legal prostitution was seen as been overly exploited by human traffickers.

Though countries like Japan in SE Asia, require sex workers to be licensed by the state and mandate them to regular checks up to keep their licenses.
They work at a state licensed place and a log of all customers personal information must be kept incase they give them a disease (obviously the government will go after said person).

If they get anything that is incurable like HIV they lose their license.

If Charlie Sheen was anyone else he'd most likely be shamed and reviled in the media as a horrible person and a massive public outcry would follow.
He probably got HIV from doing drugs...

I guess everyone truly does love a bad boy?!
