It will more likely hurt her campaign than help it.
So be it. :D

Clinton is too arrogant of a candidate to be taken seriously, so GO SANDERS!

It's simple. Pass an amendment invalidating the second amendment. It's happened before with other amendments. That's all you have to do.

But until that happens...

"shall not be infringed"

Hasn't one socialist liberal for the past several years been enough? Bernie is just a full white Obama with some more commie undertones.

The other side doesn't look that good, yeah (I guess Rand is okish), but better than another socialist. Unless that's your thing.

I'm happy for her to get her true stance out there, going to make it harder for her to deny in the general.

I've said it before (and get invited by certain people on this board to go live in a nanny state (and I'm still waiting for that party to pay my way to said nanny state)), but I have no problem with people owning a a gun (except for military grade weapons), as long as they get the proper training on that weapon. I won't own one myself, but that's my problem.

Well for one Obama can hardly be called a socialist...and two have you actually looked into what Bernie Sanders positions are? Not to mention he's the only candidate not having his campaign funded by billionaire 1%er lobbyists because he's actually for the people.

I guess socialism can't be so bad if it entails a government that works with its populace rather than against it and an economic system that doesn't allow for such a vast chasm between the wealthiest and poorest of Americans. Of course I already knew socialism isn't all bad...though it can be tainted with authoritarianism like with what happened with the Soviet Union...don't think Bernie is the authoritarian dictator type.

I would prefer a socialist to another republican or push over democrat.

I think that was just me that told you that you need to move to a nanny state where you will receive the sugar tit and coddling you seem to crave. I'm happy, of course, to take all the credit but I'll share it if someone else feels the same and has said as much.

I won't even go there with the "proper training" part of this but I would like to know what you mean by "military grade weapons".
I have a repro of an 1860 Army Colt .44 and another of an 1863 Remington .58 caliber rifled musket. Both would have to be considered military grade weapons and if you had your way they'd be illegal.

I looked in vain for a statement by Hillary, vowing to set an example by taking all the guns away from her personal bodyguard team. Perhaps a NYT editor accidentally deleted it.

Hillary wants to hold gun manufacturers liable for the illegal misuse of their legal products and pad the pockets of liberal trial lawyers in the process. I wonder, will knife manufacturers be held to the same standard?

Social liberalism by design is authoritarian as it favors the group over the individual.

Obama is entirely a social liberal (and a dumb one at that that has messed up race relations in your country), and Bernie is the same. Bernie hates gunz just as much as Obama and Hillary.

All three use perceived social ills to base their opinions on, without looking at the big picture; whether they really are social ills and what effects their opinions may have on society ("if I had a son"). You need to think rather than feel when you lead. Well, you don't, but I'd rather someone that thinks things through.

As I said, the other side doesn't look much better, but it'd probably be better overall.

Or car companies, beer brewers, pharmacies, sporting equipment manufacturers, the list goes on...

I don't think so, his record is much better than either of theirs going back a lot farther, and he's only really tacking leftwards for the Democratic primary, he's shown no real zeal for the topic until now.

But guns are icky and only icky people (like me) have them.
However, if they can ever pull of getting a law passed that allows gun manufacturers to be held liable for illegal use and accidents it will set a legal precedence that will spread to ALL products where their misuse can lead to death/injury.

Just on the economic side it will force a buttload of manufacturers (i.e. employers) out of business and add to the unemployment issue that the democrats love to pretend to be concerned over.

The lawyers, as always, will get fat.
