How could the same country that produced magnificent Medal of Honor recipient, Captain Groberg, produce these coddled campus nit-wits who inarticulately complain about how tough they have it?

CEO's would be well-advised to hire veterans of the armed services instead of these effete snobs.

Tuition free college isn't going to happen any time soon, but college students will keep marching no matter what.

These people will be expected to pay for all the overspending we have been done in the past.

It's just a bunch of whiny communists related to BLM, that are getting majors that have nothing to do with reaching requirements for higher wage jobs but still want the minimum wage raised. Colleges tend to be breeding grounds for this type of entitlement mentality.

Tuition is only half the story, it's the high cost of living that makes a college degree hard to get. A minimum wage paycheck can't cover rent or tuition (even for a community college). Luckily, there is a FASFA system that helps low-income students with tuition. But that still doesn't address the cost of living.

For contrast, my grandpa was able to pay for living expenses and tuition by working during the summer.

Does anybody ever question why tuition is so expensive? The cost appears to be the root problem.

Or else … what? They'll go on strike? Maybe quit college and get useful jobs?

Before making demands, one should first ensure that one is in a position to do so.

If Germany and other European countries offer free tuition University, why can't USA do it too?

If fees are important to motivate people to add to the economy, maybe there is some ideal position between completely free, and it costing as much as a damn house. What I would do is make it completely free for everyone who can pass an admittance test, with full financial subsidy, including living expenses, for the first half of a degree. The student would then decide whether to continue with his study and be saddled with a large debt. This kind of limited subsidy might be a nice compromise between the need to motivate people to add to the economy, and the need not to have so many liabilities to liberal democracy running around.

Then, so as not to have a massive population of graduates living under debt slavery, I would then have it that you can get your debt expunged if you rack up a few years using your degree in an area that nobody wants to work in, such as working as an Ebola doctor, or as a high school teacher in gang infested areas.

Ideas such as these might satisfy practically everyone, except for the price gougers.
